Bangkok Taxis New airport in bangkok

well what a nightmare trying to get to the new airport the taxis are now saying after midnight that they don't use meter to go to the new airport which is total BS they are just trying to rip you off I told one to stick it and he tried to strangle me a 2nd one threaten me with a tire iron these incidences happened in Khoa San rd and on suhkumvitt soi 7

a friend also got stuck paying 1000 baht to get to suhkumvitt from the airport as he made the mistake of taking a taxi from the arrivals floor remember that you need to go up a floor to departures and jump in one fast or go down to the taxi que one floor down from the arrivals of course there is no good signage in the airport to point this out.
