Cheap Charley on flight deck USS Essex

I have been really busy but last week I had a chance to go out on to the USS Essex, a amphibious assault ship that came into the Port of Sihanoukville in Cambodia. This is the 2nd ship that I have been invited to go on, the first being the USS Gary. My friend from the Golden Rooster, Roy, was also on the boat and he felt that the food was better on the USS Gary, but for sure the entertainment on the USS Essex was much better.

I had a chance to jump inside a cobra gunship which was quite a feat for a big guy like me apparently they like smaller guys to fly these machines.

Another cool thing they had was the hover craft unfortunately I was not there as I had to come down from Phnom Penh and I got there late.

I also got food poisoning but it was not from the food on the ship but instead some cheese that I had brought to munch on the trip down. I was really surprised that cheese would go bad that fast so I guess some chesses can go bad fast here in Asia.

Looking forward to a road trip in Feb Unk the major mentor of cheap Charlies is coming out and we are going to Pattaya as well as Phuket and Unk is going to come and stay here in Phnom Penh and we will go do some fun stuff here as well.
