Thailand Buses the cheap way to get to Pattaya Thailand
For those that don’t know Pattaya is a major tourist destination resort on the gulf of Thailand if there was a contest to decide on a modern day Sodom and Gomorra this place would be on the short list. With literally hundreds of beer bars full of loose women this is a favorite destination for men the world over. Surprisingly against what one would think the women get a thrill out of the Pattaya as well as the sexual energy is everywhere like Rio during Marti Gras or south beach in Miami sex is in the air.
Taxis to Pattaya can be fairly reasonable if you negotiate you should be able to get the fare under 1000 baht, so if you have 3 guys in the car you are talking in the $10 USD range but for many the value vs. a bus is not worth the extra $7 that you will pay for the taxi ride to Pattaya. One of the main stations to go to Pattaya and the one I am the most familiar with is Eckamai station, this is accessible from the sky train or a 65 baht taxi ride from the Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy or Patpong areas of Bangkok which are the preferred areas of Bangkok for Cheap Charley’s.
The buses themselves are comfortable with decent leg room and the seats tilt back so it is possible to get a cat nap on the approximate 90 minute ride to Pattaya. Sometimes they will show movies or play music so the ride is not a problem for most. The first class buses also are equipped with facilities for reliving once self but the daily constitutional should be saved for more luxury accomodations of your cheap hotel or guesthouse out of consideration for your fellow travelers.
