Thailand Trains to Malaysia & Singapore

Recently I took the train from Bangkok Thailand down to Malaysia and it was a beautiful trip very pleasant. One thing though is that there is a lot of security when you get to the bottom 3 provinces in Thailand where they are having all of the problems and you notice things like sandbagged emplacements at the train stations. You also can't hlp but notice from time to time that there are soldiers or police that are near the tracks that you don't see further up.

Once you reach Malaysia you don't see any more security.

The trip was rather inexpensive considering how far you go and I would recommend if you can doing it as a overnight trip.. the next time that I do it i am going to try to go all the way to Singapore which you can do and the train will take you through the oldest rain forest on the planet from what I have seen in Malaysia I am sure that it is spectacular.

Night train to Saigon Vietnam from Nha trang Viet nam

This video was shot with my Sony cyber shot on the night train from Nha Trang Vietnam to Saigon Viet Nam. I have taken this train twice, I was going to go first class seat but talked to a conductor and got them to upgrade the seat for me. The first class seat section was totally overcrowded with luggage and passengers and would have been impossible to sleep. I recommend to people to do two things at the same time, travel from point a to Point B ,and to save on a night accommodations. I think of the night trains in Asia as cheap hotels that move.

I had a problem with my tickets as I bought the ticket through a agent and they put the wrong date on the ticket I was lucky to get on the train to Saigon.
