Café California Hotel 2 Reopen in Oct !

One of Cheap Charlies favorite hotels is going to be reopening on the river in Phnom Penh Café California 2 is in a new location down around street 100 at the old Woolly Rhino which was an ok looking hotel but it was missing something that would allow it to be successful. The bar was done in old looking soap stone

Jim and a new team will I am sure be very busy as he is not even open yet and he has people all ready making reservations. The new hotel will have 10 rooms and the bar looks to be much larger that the old Cali 2 and looks like for the construction that it will be air conditioned as well.

The old hotel was priced a little less but the new rooms I am sure will be worth the extra $5 USD that they will be getting. Jim expects that the California hotel will be priced at $25 a night. With only 10 rooms it will be important for you to make reservations in advance and even then it will be hard to get rooms during the high season unless you book months in advance. One of the things the things that everyone liked about the old hotel was that they would save a room for you if they said they you had a room you had a room!
