I have been out on the road in Asia for the past 8 months and I am defiantly seeing some really good deals. In the past 3 months especially as there are fewer travelers, so business owners are interested in getting heads in beds so that they can make their monthly nut and stay open. The best hotel deals are when you can stay for a while like 7 days or more.

In the Philippines I recently stayed at the Westpoint in and was paying around $17 a night for a very clean, large, TV, Air Con, Free Wifi hotel in downtown Cebu City.

Currently i am in Bangkok Thailand and I have a simalar deal of a really cheap room in Bangkok Sukhumvit area. Again free WiFI and as allways with all of the cheap rooms I stay in the room is ensuite and the hangkok hotel owner likes me so she included a TV and I went and bought a small DVD Very happy withthe this ThaiHouse room.
