Bali Indonesia is one of the most beautiful places in Asia. Bali and Hawaii are many times compared for their beauty surfing and scuba diving adventures. For travelers Bali's Sanur Beach offers better budget guesthouses & cheap accomodations than Hawaii. In Sanur beach & Kuta Beach there are numerous very classy and inexpensive Bali style accommodations available, most around $25 USD a night; something comparable in Waikiki or Lahiana Hawaii would be very near $100 USD a night. Food is also quite cheap and tasty especially if you prefer vegetarian dishes.
In Sanur Beach we stayed at the Lestari homestay guesthouse which is a very comfortable longstay bali Cheap Hotel at around $6 a night which can include breakfast close to the beach and a cool pool. Some of the guestrooms come with refrigerator Hot water and TV which unless you speak Indonesian there is nothing on Air con is also available for more money, but while we were there the rooms were cool enough with having the air on.
In Sanur Beach we really like the brand new Sanur Beach Hotel Santdi Resort pictured above a very classy Balinese tropical design with large airy rooms available in Fan or Air con configurations. This Bali resort guesthouse features a beautiful pool and is within a very short stroll to the famous Sanur beach where there are plenty of things to do like wind surfing snorkeling and other adventure water sports.
We also really liked the Komala Indah guesthouse very near Kuta beach on Poppies Lane. At 4 to 6 dollars a night you are not going to find a cheaper Bali guesthouses with this kind of special ambiance, one of the best deals anywhere in Asia .
