I don't aim to please the cheap hotels, I aim to please you by providing you with the best value for your money and if we have a little fun doing it then thats the way that it is suppose to be. I am tierd of looking here on the internet and finding hotels over $100 being called cheap. A cheap hotel should be that, clean, safe and offer what you expect from a friend if they put you up for a night. If the area is very hot Air Con. If the area is Very Cold, we don't got there hahahaha! Just foolin with ya, We will be focusing on the Aisa Oceanic major tourist cities like Bangkok Phnom Penh Saigon Sydney Manila Singapore.

Formulae 1 Hotel, Kings Cross
Searching around Sydneys Kings Cross for cheap hotels is a chore even for Cheap Charley. I was very lucky to find this cheap hotel. This is Cheap by Sydney standards at only $79 a night. I received a room on the 5th floor and was rewarded with a great view of Downtown Sydney including the Sydney Opera house the Sydney Bridge and the Harbor area. With in two blocks you have the Kings Cross underground station which connects you into Sydney's excellent rail system. Ummmmm Something to note about this neighborhood there are very friendly females about asking you if you would like a date, you might keep this in mind as the area does attract this type of activity esspicially around Brooke St.
The rooms were fairly basic and everything worked. Air con, Small TV, hot water. There are vending machines for cokes and snacks. There are many places to eat in the neighborhood, laundry room is available as well as a storage area which you will need as the hotel like all hotels apparently in Australia require a 10 Am check out a major bummer. I did talk them into allowing me to check out at 11am and I had stayed there for 4 days.
The hotel also has internet but it seemed to be expensive there is lots of internet in the area especially by the Kings Cross main business area near the famous Coke sign.
Kings Cross Hostel?
Formule 1 also allows 4 people to a room so if you do the math it comes out to be the same or less as what you would get a real Sydney hostel. I don't know how comfortable it would be if you had 4 people in a room but you do get the additional amenities that you would not get in a traditional Hostel room like the en suite and the Air con and TV in the room.
