I
tell ya lookin for a Down Under cheap hotel in Cairns up in Queensland
Australia was one of the toughest places I have been to yet for finding
a good cheap hotel, just as I was going to give up, I stopped one
more time at Adobe and they bent over backwards to help me out and
the price was right at $50 with some larger rooms up to $60, now that
price maybe a little higher now but i know that they are going to
do their best to keep the price of their fine hotel down. Don't forget
to tell them that Chuck sent ya!
The hotel
has all newly refurbished rooms taken care of by his extended family.
They have a Salt water pool all rooms have air con and hot water Cable
TV with a decent size screen Laundry room and even a place to do some
cooking like you would find in a Hostel but you don't have to share
the bathroom with half od Europe and part of the subcontinent. to
finish it up they also have off street parking so if you are doing
the van thing around the down under your set.
We have found that using the two programs below that we were consistently finding the best deals on discount hotels, the cheapest rooms and budget guesthouses, if there was not a special on the hotels direct site. Hotels Combined search's 30 different hotel booking sites and points out the best rate and Rates to Go offers last minute deals if you are booking at the last minute. Chuck

Wow What diving!
I went out with the great folks at Taka Dive and did the 5 day 4 night
trip and I tell ya, it was a highlight of my time in Australia!
Big Fish and Bigger Sharks, But these guys really know how to take
care of ya. The Taka is one of the few boats able to sail in
the coral sea and that my friends is where some of the best diving
in the world takes place. Make Sure that you tell them that
Chuck sent ya of course if you do they're gonna be checkin your computer
alot cuase i was haven more fun than I should in the deep.
