The Cheapest Flights Bangkok to KL Kuala Lumpur (KUL) (BKK) are most of the times hands down won by Air Asia for cheaper airfares.  KL Kuala Lumpur is one of the busiest hub's for Air Asia so there are lots of flights going all around Asia from this airport which is called the LCCT.  I would rather route through Singapore but many times for cost reasons I find myself in Kuala Lumpur.  My biggest problem with KL is the ground transportation if you are taking taxis no problems, but if you try to use the buses or trains out of KL it can be real confusing.  Another problem is finding cheap KL hotels & budget accomodations. With Air Asia and for Asia cheapest airlines in general you need to book as far out as possible to get the best airfares.  Many times the cheaper airlines run specials that have you basically paying taxs and fuel surcharges but these are limited and the closer that you get to flight time the more expensive these airfares will be if you know that you are planning a budget trip into the region go to the regional airlines websites and sign up for there promotions emails and some you can even select to be notified on deals to select destinations. 

If you have lots of luggage going with the cheap airlines can be more expensive then your best bet is to get secials on the international flag carriesr which for flights Bangkok Thailand KL Kuala Lumpur Maaysia would be Thai Air Manlaysia Air and check Singapore Air as well.  there is another airline that is in thsi area the boutique airline Bangkok Air.
