Kuala Lumpur has many areas with Hotels, Cheap Guesthouses, Budget Accomodations in KL. Kuala Lumpur Visitors will want to stay in Bukit Bintang or China Town areas, some will want to stay near Petronas Towers but this is mainly a business district that does have a lot of restaurants and clubs that are pretty much what you would expect to find in any large Asia city.

The really cheap guesthouses, budget accommodations and hostels are in China town.  Petaling Street is a very neat area with lots to see the outdoor market which is under a dome of sorts has a ton of neat things to look at and buy from DVD's watch's and general tourist souvenirs.

The more upscale KL budget hotles boutique & luxury hotels and some small hostel guesthouses like the Haven are in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala lumpur.  There are a couple of advantage to Bukit Bintang the shopping is some of the best in Kuala Lumpur you have Starbucks with free wifi and lots of restaurants and bistro and there is also a night market that is in the center of things.  The biggest benefit for this area is that the tram runs through here so you can get to allot of KL from here a good central location to base from. pictured above & below the Haven Guesthouse and the Emerald KL Cheapest Hotel at around $20 USD a night with air con hot water.
