Kuala Lumpur has many areas with Hotels, Cheap Guesthouses, Budget Accomodations in KL. Kuala Lumpur Visitors will want to stay in Bukit Bintang or China Town areas, some will want to stay near Petronas Towers
One of the tough things for KL is getting to the airport as the center of town is very far from the Cheap flights. One answer is to get cheap hotel or budget accommodation closer to the airport. look on the Air Asia site and they have one that is decent and cheap.
The really cheap guesthouses, budget accommodations and hostels are in China town. Petaling Street is a very neat area with lots to see the outdoor market which is under a dome of sorts has a ton of neat things to look at and buy from DVD's watch's and general tourist souvenirs. When we were there however there was a raid and they were hiding all of the copy stuff something to be aware of.
The more upscale KL budget hotels boutique & luxury hotels and some small hostel guesthouses like the Haven are in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala lumpur. There are a couple of advantage to Bukit Bintang the shopping is some of the best in Kuala Lumpur you have Starbucks with free wifi and lots of restaurants and bistro and there is also a night market that is in the center of things. there is that the tram runs through Bukit Bintang so you can get to allot of KL from here a good central location to base from. pictured above & below the Haven Guesthouse and the Emerald KL Cheapest Hotel at around $20 USD a night with air con hot water.
